Scent Object

A sculptural diffuser in white biscuit porcelain with a glazed interior. Inside, five black spheres of natural lava stone gradually release the scent of the essential oil blend into the surrounding space.

Developed in collaboration with Studio David Lehmann, the object was conceived as a mindful design piece where the scent becomes a subtle sensory experience.

Its form is reduced to the essential: two porcelain elements meet in a floating silhouette. From above, the object appears as a circle – a silent symbol of focus and stillness. The fragrance rises through the fine opening between the upper and lower elements. The lava-stone spheres connect materiality and function; their porous surface absorbs the essential oils and releases them slowly over time.

A small, intimate object that creates space for calm, sensory awareness, and peace in the wild.

DETAILS

The scent object functions without electricity or heat. It gently scents the immediate surroundings – for example, at a workspace, in an entryway, or on a bedside table.
The porcelain object can be cleaned by hand or in the dishwasher. To neutralize the scent of the lava stone spheres, place them in warm detergent water for about ten minutes, rinse them with clear water, and leave them to dry.

- Dosage: 2 – 3 drops per lava-stone sphere

DIRECTIONS

Depending on the desired scent intensity, place one to five lava-stone spheres inside the object. Add two to three drops of the selected PEACE IN THE WILD Essential Oil Blend onto each sphere. The natural lava absorbs the essential oil and releases the scent into the surrounding space. Place the upper element on top.
